? about photographer

so i'm definitely feeding our photographer, and invited his wife to join us, if she's traveling with him...he's also shooting our rehearsal dinner, and i will invite him to eat, of course...i don't know where he's staying yet, but if it's with us, i'll pay for his cab to the rehearsal dinner...and may pay regardless of where he stays...so here's the ??...do i give him an OOT bag? or is that overboard?

I dont think its necessary. YOu are already paying so much for him that I think its a bit overboard. Thats just me though!

ive gotten quite a few oot bags on DWs. but i dont expect it and its totally not necessary. it is a thoughtful touch though if they dont cost you too much and i always enjoy them.

 

DWs are a little different for me in that i spend more time with the couple and their families and am also more included in activities even outside the wedding. my DW couples are often the ones i remain friends with. even plan vacations with!

We gave our photographer and her husband an OOT bag (we made separate mens and womens bags for everyone). But, they stayed with us at our resort the whole week and travelled with us, so it was more like they were part of the whole thing and not just there to take the pics. I know they both liked them.

I agree with Leigh. Although it would be a nice gesture, its not necessary. I don't think your photographer would be expecting to get one, or at least he shouldn't expect one.

I say No to the OOT bag. It is not necessary. That said - I'm talking about when your photog is local. If they are coming from out of town, then yes.

OOT = Out of Town Bag

I think if the photog is local, then no... but if they are travelling from the states, it would be a nice gesture and they may take pics of it for you
