I went on easter weekend so if you consider it just make sure that doesn't happen to you!! otherwise the hotel is beautiful!!
good to know. The hotel has very mixed reviews on travel sites. But I love the location. Plus, a lot of my cousins would love the fact that there is a club on site!

It's a running joke with my fi that we can just go to the club to continue the wedding (the site says it closes at 4 or 6am!)

Oh, boy, I'd be afraid of having anything open until 4 with my friends near by!

Thanks for all the responses everyone! This is exciting and I'm glad that there's such a great community!

We're having a largish DW...probably inviting about 150 people. Will probably not go with any of the all inclusives. We are thinking the Westin or Marriot but will wait and see on our scouting trip. I like the idea of having everyone at the same place, so something like Playa Fiesta might not work. Umm...what else, don't have a whole lot of other details quite yet. It's exciting, but crazy!

I think we're leaning towards the European Plans for a couple reasons:

- The trends for past weddings is that people like to go off resort/ hotels to eat and drink

- Not that they would HAVE to stay at the selected AI, but I would like to have EVERYONE on the same resort, too, during the day. Say if we were at Dreams, would it not allow guests who are staying elsewhere onto the property?

It guess it would be helpful to know how much more expensives AI's are compared to EP's. Any thoughts?

In terms of dates...not sure yet. We're thinking Jan 2008 because our friends and families are mainly in Boston/NY and California. This way the weather will be snowy on the East Coast and rainy on the West...a nice warm getaway for everyone! We're struggling a little with our wedding parties. It would either be one each (our siblings) or 9 on my side and 7 or 8 on his. I know it's crazy, but I also want my friends up there with me! We go back and forth, but should make our decisions soon!!!

Any thoughts? it can be a pretty big difference for the events. dreams los cabos charges $18-22 per person for a private event set up...this includes food and drinks...that would be hard to beat when you have to pay for food and alchohol..also, resorts like dreams and palace resorts have a "free" wedding package so they will provide officiant, help with legal marriages, blood test, etc. and barebone decorations/flowers, sometimes a small cake for bride and groom etc.
