Las Caletas Brides ~ Post HERE! (THREAD CLOSED)

Recommended Posts

we don't have any girls on this forum that were already married at Las Caletas in Nov, at least not that i know of! we have about 5 that are getting married this Oct/Nov though. but that probably doesn't help you too much right now. BUT there are other girls that have got married in that timeframe in PV - let's hope they speak up!

btw - thanks for the comments on the slideshow - it WAS absolutely perfect if you ask me! it was everything paul and i were hoping for, and more!

My main concern about getting married in Las Caletas was the late ceremony start time but apparently they are offering Sunday rates for the same price now and you are able to dictate a schedule. I don't know if November 7th is a must for you, but maybe you could move your date to a Sunday and have an earlier start time and dictate your own ceremony schedule like Tara did.

I'm very jealous they added this after I already booked. I would have snatched this up in a heart beat. Oh well.....

i suppose your STDs are already out hu? i would think they'd let you change the date.

also, just to clear up my situation a bit as i don't want to mislead people. yes, we changed our date to sunday in the hopes of being able to start our ceremony earlier. HOWEVER, NONE OF THIS IS A DEFINITE. We will not know our exact start time until a month prior to the wedding. In the past tours were not offered to LC on Sundays; that is changing. However, they anticipate the crowd to be much less on Sundays and so there will probably only be one tour over in the morning. Thus giving us the potential chance to start earlier.

Yeah, this is what Kelley told me. That there is a chance that you could have the ceremony earlier, but it's not definate. November 7th isn't a must have for us. We could always do it on the 9th if we chose Sunday. I emailed Kelley and asked if there was an additional charge for Sunday ceremonies if we decided to go that route.

Yes, I have already locked and loaded my date. It's fine for me now. How unfortunate they are only saying it has a potential chance to start earlier. I think this is the only down side to Las Caletas. But on a more postive note, everyone's pictures from this seasons have turned out beautiful even with the late start time!

Hey guys,

I was just reflecting on the whole wedding planning process and I have to say we all made the best choice ever for picking Las Caletas! It's amazing for all the reasons we've all stated, but when you hear the hassles people have with vendors/coordinators it makes me so grateful. I could have done nothing but shown up on June 2nd and it still would have been perfect. The WCs are first rate and even if it cost twice as much it would have been so worth it.

I've been at hotels, drinking by the pool, and being a lookie loo for other people's weddings. I wouldn't have liked being the bride and looking up to see drunken vactioners staring at my special day. When I looked off all I saw friends, family, and the beach. The privacy made it so much more awesome. Anyway, that's all I wanted to say. I worried it would sound conceited but I figure other brides probably don't read this thread anyway so it's safe to say among LC people...lol All the weddings I've seen on BDW have been dreamy and fabulous no matter where they were, but there's something magical about LC....anyone feel me on this?

do i feel ya? hell yea i do! i've thought so many times how relieved i was to not have to go through the WC drama like so many girls here unfortunately do. i just don't have the patience for that kind of thing, i probably would have just given up. i mean, dealing w/marilu at the WD was bad enough.

oh, and i really don't think i actually did much more than show up at Las Caletas! lol i guess i did email Nicole a few pics - cake, bouquet, etc., and then brought the sea glass - but i think that's about it!

honestly, i know i would have been happy with any resort - hell, i just wanted to marry paul on the beach - but Las Caletas was more than i ever could have expected! perfect. even though i was never one to dream about my wedding when i was younger - had i, this would have been it! well, not the sick part, but ... you know!

i don't mind you asking at all ... just don't know the answer! i just sent her a picture of what i liked, and she made it work.

i went back and looked at my contract, and i don't see any additional charges for the chuppa. i see a charge for the cake, centerpieces, and the rest of my stuff - but that's it!
