LUke and I are also getting married in MN about two weeks before we come down to Mexico. Even if we were able to do it legally at LC - I did not want to bother with running around, getting blood work, etc. etc. I am there to enjoy the week!! Andi - Thanks for posting the pictures. I'm working with Kelley on my decor details now, so it is very helpful. My colors are chocolate brown and chartreuse green. Lots and lots of limes!!! I can't wait.

Hey girls-

 

I saw a few questions I thought I could help answer. My LC wedding was 12/28/08.

 

The ipod wedding was great. I spent a lot of time up front doing my playlists, and the MC's ended up doing their own think with the ipods and even playing some of their own music. It was pretty much just like having the dj.

 

The pashminas will come in handy for the boat ride home. And your guests will wear them the rest of the time they are there. It can get a little cool at night in December.

 

BTW that was so interesting about Nuevo Vallarta having totally different rules than PV. I didn't know that. I got married in vegas, which was a blast!

oh um so...I think I mentioned this somewhere once too. the ipod ended up working out totally fine and I would do it again but I did have a glitch or two with it...however Nicole saved the day on that and I was pretty much oblivious to the problems with it.

So I freakin spent WEEKS on those dumb playlists on itunes, had them all broken out nice into "cocktail hour", "dinner", "dancing", etc. all the ceremony music was broken out nicely too in playlists.

well I waited until the last minute to put the playlists on my ipod, I think I did it the night before we left (mistake). I had planned on having both back up CD's with the playlist and then also having everything on both my ipod and DH's...just in case. well I never got around to the CD's. so songs were just on 2 ipods.

Get to LC, day of the wedding. pull out my ipod...DEAD. pull out DH's, songs are on there but NO PLAYLISTS! btw, this ended up being my one kinda stressed moment of the day.

Nicole, takes both ipods and says she has a charger with her in the office to charge mine and that she will mess with them and see if she can't figure out the playlists. Well I never heard from her again on that. so then my dad and I are walking down the steps and I can start to hear the music...it was the right music!!

ceremony goes on, all the right music is played, so i figured nicole fixed my boo boo....it wasn't until towards the end of cocktail hour when I heard I song that wasn't on my playlist...no biggie, I just heard it.

I ask Nicole much later in the evening about the playlists....um yeah she said that one of the VA staff guys was running the ipod and scrolling through ALL the music b/c my playlists were f'ed up.... (ok she didn't say f'ed up, i added that!)

anyway, the ceremony stuff was played correctly because she had taken my programs where I had it all listed out and she figured it all out...pretty much seamless! It ended up being totally fine, NOBODY knew a thing expect me....I was so mad at myself for not checking the playlists! the LAST thing I wanted was to have someone running the ipod and SEARCHING for songs....

oh well, long story short...I would do the ipod again (but check your playlists) to save a few $$$!

andi!! ahhhh - i haven't been on here in forever, and i just saw the pics you posted on the "details" BRAVO! it's all gorgeous and i definitely like your style, chica! very inspiring - i can't wait to get into all that craziness...currently stuck in my invitation phase.

 

i also looked at your slideshow and am more excited than ever for my very own 4.24!!

alright - am i just too impatient because my computer is being wacky and slow that i didn't go back far enough in this thread to find out who JL is? i'm so curious to know, as the anticipation for her pictures is just so great! another LC bride, i'm assuming??

hahaha JL is JaimeLynne, she got married at LC on 5/24...so I think now that I have my slideshow hers will be the next LC one coming!

Andi - your ttd pics - PRICELESS. you're beautiful. i've shown so many ppl your LC slideshow, too, and they are all floored. gotta say - reggie's outfit was amazing! ...btw, did i tell you that i sooo wish i had a lil girl or boy old enough to walk the aisle so i could throw a tutu on him/her, too??

 

in other news...i've been hard at work on my invites and i gotta say they are really turning out to be pretty cool...i can't wait to share them - they are perfect for a Las Caletas wedding! yeeehaw. i sorta took a picture from the vallarta adventures website and am using it as my own...hope i don't get hit with copyright infringement! my luck in this economy, i probably will. HA.
