Ring Guards or Wraps?

Anyone have a ring guard or wrap for a solitare ring? My ring is a round solitare. I wasn't planning on getting a wedding band to go with it, because I really like the simplicity of it. I also don't like wearing rings when I'm working so one single band is the most comfortable for me.

 

But, now I'm considering a band that I could wear with it when I'm not at work. I had pictured something that went around the ring & made it look like 1 single, fancier ring. Is this look still in style? My mom and grandma had something like this. But all I see lately are the seperate rings. So if this is an outdated look, let me know. I'm really clueless about wedding bands, because I only looked at engagement rings.

 

I'd like something that gives it an antique look. I had trouble deciding between a really intricate, antique looking ring or a really simple solitare. This way I could have the option of both.

jeez morgan i just saw two different photos today of ring wraps like youre describing, how odd! ....let me see if i can find where i saw them. one was on the internet and one was in a wedding magazine...

morgan - i really think it is all about personal preference. i don't think it would be fair to say 'outdated' it you love it go for it. now if you were talking like neon and crazy gems maybe we would have to stop you but it sounds unique!

A wrap sounds like it would work well for you. As for being "outdated" - Not in my opinion. There are soooo many different options for bands, wraps, etc... I think you should just go with something that you really like and will want to wear forever.
