Looking for quotes & poems about grandmas

Recommended Posts

My grandma just turned 80 and she is coming to my wedding in Mexico. It means so much to me that she is making the trip. So I want to do something special for her.

I've mentioned before that I made her a photobook of our engagement pictures that she takes with her everywhere. So now I'm making her a photobook to give her at the wedding. I'm filling it with pictures of me as a little kid. The first page has a picture of me as a flowergirl & a note saying "Dear Grandma,Thank you for being such a special part of my wedding day and my life. Love, Morgan"

Now I'm looking for more poems, quotes, stories, etc to fill the book with. I have 11 pages of pictures, so I need 9 pages of text. I can always scan more pictures to fill the book.

Do you know any sweet poems about grandma?

Here is what I have so far. I need to get some pictures of me with grandma when I go home for Christmas. I also need to get more pictures from junior high & high school. I skipped quickly from 7th grade to college. The book will be a small 5x7 book.

Here are the ones I used:

Grandmas hold our tiny hands for just a little while... but our hearts forever

Grandmothers have ears that truly listen,

arms that always hold,

love that's never ending,

and a heart made out of gold.

Between the earth and sky above, nothing can match a grandmother's love.

Through my grandmother's eyes, I can see more clearly the way things used to be, the way things ought to be, and most important of all, the way things really are. ~ Ed Cunningham

When I was married before, I had a toss bouquet and one exactly like it. I did the "other one" first. I got on the mic and told everyone about what a great grandmother I have and how much I love her. I explained that she had been married to my grandfather for 50 years and was an example of what I want to be as a wife. I gave her the bouquet. She LOVED it. And, since it was silk, she STILL has it in her house 7+ years later!
