I'm a little sad ...

Ok - just venting ... I'm a little bummed today ... Christmas is my absolute favorite season of the year ... I'm missing yet another Christmas party tonight (that makes 3), not to mention a couple of informal dinner invitations last week ... all because of finals (I have 3 next week and 1 the following). This is my last year of exams - so the light's at the end of the tunnel ... but I'm just feeling a bit frustrated (and a bit isolated)! Not to mention the fact that I don't feel like I can really enjoy the fun part of decorating and buying presents! It just feels stressful right now!

 

Needless to say - I haven't let myself on the forum much at all the last 2 weeks - and I've missed it A LOT! SO, as I'm sitting in the library for the bazillionth day in a row ... I thought I would treat myself and check back in with everyone ...

awww! I'm sorry you're missing out on all the fun parties. That really sucks! I would feel bummed out too.

 

But you're right...at least there's that light at the end of the tunnel. Next year you'll be able to party yourself into exhaustion and wonder why you can't find 5 minutes to hang around the house in pj's! :-)

 

And don't stress too much about the finals...I'm sure with all this studying you've done...you're going to do GREAT!

We are in a similar boat right now. I have 2 finals next week and one the week later. Kind of makes this time of year not as much fun. Good luck

I just replied to the pm...so you are done this semester too! That's great! I feel the same way...I love christmas and for the last couple years it has sucked!! I haven't been shopping forever and I have to keep myself away because I will not come back home and study!

 

Last year I didn't even put up a tree and shopped on Dec 23rd! This year i took a break on Thanksgiving morning and put my tree up and I will probably shop again this year on the 23rd...

 

Just think this is the last year and then you can enjoy all the holidays you want to the fullest!!! Hang in there!!!

it does suck. i have to miss my husband's party because i have class that night. just remember that the end result of school will be worth missing all those parties!

you know I am feeling the exact same right now too! I have 2 exams next week and 1 the following...it does suck - but you are right, this is the last time you will have to go through this - and it will be worth it in the end!

Sorry to hear you're missing the parties, but the light is REALLY at the end of the tunnel if this is your last year! That's great! You'll get through it, and I promise the forum will still be here and we'll be waiting for you when you're done!
