Just be honest with your guests, and obviously your acquaintances too! We used the "small wedding" argument every now and then, although we didn't have a small wedding.

 

Most people will bring up the wedding just as conversation and like Maria said, I can hardly imagine extended friends spending the $$ to go to an event they weren't invited to in the first place. I think they're just looking for a vacation!

 

But good ideas using Tammy as a filter, and definitely make it clear on the website your intentions. Good luck!

I had this problem. Someone called my TA and booked without getting a Save the Date from us (I never thought that someone would do this, but it happened!). I would let Tammy know to contact you in case this happens!
