Pastor marrying us? Do I pay for his ticket and stay?

Yeah I have to agree that pastors really don't make a lot of money. You could just set aside the money and let him decided what it goes for so you don't feel like you are paying for one certain thing. If the pastor chooses to use the money for the flights and then pay for the hotel on his own that is up to him. I know either way it is more money...such is the beast we call "The wedding."

well it seems that he was invited as a guest, and was going to come anyway, and then since he's already there, he might as well marry you two. if that's the case then i think i want to ammend my answer! lol i guess i misunderstood and thought he was only asked to attend so that he could perform the services. i think that anything you can help with - maybe just lodging for the 2 of them (then you're not excluding the wife) or something would be very nice.
