What is your favorite way to search the forum?

I realized after coming back from a short internet hiatus (and having over 2000 unread posts!) that i always click the "new posts" link at the top - I am thinking they are better ways to search but figured I would ask the experts!

When I first joined I looked through all the different sections for stuff that I wanted info on (i.e OOT bags and photos) now I just click the magic New Posts button. Good luck!

well if i have a ton of posts to go through, and not a lot of time i might check the individual categories first. but for the most part - i just to the "unread posts" in the upper right corner.

Im with you Ann, I also do the Unread posts. Seems to be the best for me.

I voted for "unread posts" because thats my daily routine. However, if I am trying to catch up after a long weekend I prefer to go by categories. I find that everything becomes way more manageable that way. I usually start with the general information categories (ie, wedding attire, STD's, etc.) and work my way down to the location specific sections (starting with RM, ofcourse ). Once I feel like I have adequately caught up, I go to the Newbie section and say hi to everyone

What I usually do is hit UserCP in the upper left hand corner then scroll down to my subscriptions first.....Read those first....then I go into the UnreadPosts or individual categories....

 

I think it's easier that way

I also do the "unread posts" link. I find it waaaay easier to search this way unless I know there is a specific section I need to go to, then I will go directly to that section of the forum.
