Riu Ochos Rio Bride 2009!?!?

Hi! My name is Becky and I am just starting to plan my DW for January 2009.

 

There are so many options out there it seems a tad overwhelming! I am currently favoring Jamaica, specifically Riu Ochos Rio. I love everything I found about the resort and have been amazed by all the brides on this forum that have picked there as well. I look forward to reading all your posts and figuring everything out!

 

My only question thus far is if anyone knows when resorts will start posting their wedding plans/packages for 2009? I believe that travel wise, flights are posted ~330 days before hand. I know it seems far off... but as I am planning for the very first week (3rd-10thish) and will be in school full time for the next year, its never too early to start. Thanks everyone!

to the forum! It's so funny, when I first joined, I think there were only 3 ROR brides here, but there have to be at least 30 now! I believe that we could not get the rates until 1 year before the date. Have you talked to a travel agent yet? They may be able to find out sooner. Let us know if you have any more questions!

I am also planning January 2009. My travel agent forward me notes from Riu that state they can't start booking until Feb/March this coming year. You can maybe put yourself on the waiting list in Feb, but only through a travel agent. They said it was because they dont have the ministers secured for that time. Hope that helps.

Their 2008 rates were available in May of 2007. I tried like crazy to get them sooner, but that was when they were released. HOpefully 2009 rates will come out sooner for you!!
