What to wear while shopping for gown?

I wore a strapless bra, REGULAR panties (NO thongs!), and I also wore a pair of slightly elevated sandals. I figured that way I could see what it'd look like with shoes.

I'd say to def. wear regular panties - I wore some little boyshort ones since I knew I'd have a salesperson dressing me...not so into showing off the bum to random people! loL! I also wore a strapless bra, but I did use the bustier they provided for a couple of the dresses. Also the slips/petticoats are usually there at the store in case you need to try one. I would def not worry about stockings etc. Also, the stores I've been to even have shoes you can try, but if you have a pair that are about the height you know you want, then go ahead and bring them. that way if you decide you want to order a dress shorter or with extra length, you'll be sure of that decision.

I wore a strapless bra and boy shorts each time I went. Actually GAP (& I think Vickies does too) sells this "smooth" boyshort that doesnt show any panty lines at all. They were great for the silk slip dress type of gowns I tried on. That way I didn't have to have my booty hang out all over the place and I wasnt distracted by panty lines all over the place. Every place I went had the slip for me, if the dress needed it.

I wore boyshorts and a normal bra. I knew I would be going braless so I just wore a normal bra and got rid of it. I have been waxing/getting massages for so many years at so many different places that I could care less if people see the tatas. I just tried my dresses on with no bra.

I went to smaller stores but they all had shoes and bras to use. I had my shoes so I just brought them. I never was given a slip or anything.

I am so glad that someone thought to ask this, so that it would remind me to go shopping for boyshorts! I'm gonna start looking for a dress in January after the big Seattle wedding show.
