Medieval Times

For our honeymoon, Aaron and I are going to Florida... primarily for Disneyworld, but I know Aaron would love Medieval Times. I went when I was about 8 years old, and don't remember a lot about it - but no matter what I know it'll be a blast.

So, here's what I'm wondering, when I purchase my tickets do I buy an assigned seat, or are they assigned when we get there? Is it worth it to purchase the "royalty" ticket?? It's only $10 more, but I don't know what the difference is between that and a regular ticket.

Any other insight or tips welcome! :)

I went about 4 years ago, I bought the regular tickets, I don;t think they were assigned seats and there was a huge crowd when we got there. We got the seats right behind the upgrade (only about 3 rows back) I think the only thing that was different was you got a flag to wave with the permium seats. The food and everything else was the same and the seats were good.

I don't know about the difference between the tickets, but I would say to keep in mind that the closer to the arena (if you call it that) floor you are, the more dirt you'll get on your food and yourselves. When I went, we thought it would be really cool to sit really close and I had that "grittiness" in my mouth and nose for hours....

The only one I've been to is here is Dallas several years ago, so I'm not sure what the other are like tho...

I LOVE Medieval Times!!! Last time Shawn surprised me with the royal seats. In Chicago there are a few differences. You get the flag to wave around, you get assigned seats which are front row (I didn't have any dirt in my food or my face. Maybe because of where they placed ushuh.gif), you also got a free packet which had a program, book, and cd I think. Either way the food is AWESOME and the entertainment is great. He'll love it no matter what!
