Site Visits Next Week? Questions?

Ladies;

 

As posted in another thread - heading to Grand Sirenis on Saturday for a week away and a friends wedding so I will have much to report on the GS.

 

We are also going to look at Paradisus, Azul, Grand Palladium and Bahia Principe Tulum - aside from the usual pics and reviews - if there is anything specific someone would like a pic of I can do my best!

Please ask the WC(if you get to meet with her) at Grand Sirenis about bringing in an outside photographer. I'm considering this resort but from reading another thread there are alot of resorts that charge$500 to bring in an outside vendor. Actually I got an email from Cecilia stating that they don't allow and outside photographer. If you do see Cecilia will you ask in more detail......If I choose GS I will have to threaten that I will take my business elsewhere if they won't allow it. If there is anything you can find out on this issue I will greatly appreciate it.

Melissa Radolli - We're going to Paradisus, Azul Beach, and Grand Sirenis next week too - leaving on Sunday. How crazy! I wanted to stop by Palladium too but the WC there never replied to my emails. Do you have appointments at all the places?

 

MonicaBrandon2008 - I actually asked the WC at Grand Sirenis about outside photographers and she said no and then I asked if they were a guest and I still used the regular photographer too she said yes. But that was from the limited email communication we had, and maybe Melissa Radolli will have better luck asking in person. Although I'm staying at Grand Sirenis I'm not sure I"ll have an opportunity to meet w/the WC b/c she didn't have any time when I'm actually there it seems - at least, she hasn't written me back since I clarified that I'll be checked out of the hotel at the meeting time she suggested.

Wowser we will certainly run into eachother! My TA has been in contact with the WC at Palladium so we are scheduled there with a specific time as well as with the Riu Riviera - I have heard from Azul and Paradisus but not given any times as of yet .. they are slow to respond! Did you set up specific times?

You have a WC from the US? I haven't confirmed with a WC or a TA in the US and will get to that after I get a sense if I'm going thru with anything for sure down there. I have specific times set at Paradisus, Azul, Grand Sunset/Rivera Princess, Al Cielo, & Ana y Jose. I'm staying at Paradisus, Grand Sirenis, and hopefully Ana y Jose the last night, possibly. I don't know if I'm going to go crazy trying to make it to all my appointments - we'll see! I guess I'll try emailing Palladium again but I wonder what would happen if I showed up and asked for a tour? Are you staying at all the places, or just staying at Grand Sirenis the whole wk for your friend's wedding?

We are working with a canadian TA (from Alberta) as that is where my fiance is from and his mom is a travel agent. We are staying at the Grand Sirenis all week and then heading for our site visits on Thursday the 29th (with my in-laws who are flying in and renting a car!)

 

Palladium we ended up having to call b/c they were slow - same with Riu - Did you call or email Azul and Paradisus? They both emailed me back but neither confirmed - sooo annoying - we are leaving tomorrow so I need to deal with this asap.

Just a quick tidbit (since we leave in 12 hours and I still haven't packed!) I just put in a quick call to Paradisus and Dreams Cancun and confirmed a site visit - it was literally a two minute call and all is well.. Nylalany you may want to call the Grand Palladium - they are pretty receptive and we are meeting with the WC for lunch!

Ladies! Back from the site visits and the week at Grand Sirenis for the wedding! Have pics and reviews to post of course - Happy to report that we fell in love with the Paradisus so we finally made a decision!
