Our trip to the Dominican is going to be even more special now!!! SO excited!

Chris and I have been trying to decide how we could give back to the Dominican as thanks for 'hosting' our wedding. It actually came to us by way of a knock on our door Sunday night.

 

We have decided to sponsor a little boy through World Vision. He is 5 and lives in Santo Domingo, and is the cutest little thing you have ever seen! We are so proud that we will be helping this little boy, and couldn't be happier!

 

We are going to try and arrange with World Vision to meet him when we are down there on the second week of our holiday. It's apparently pretty easy to arrange, and the kids are always very excited.

 

It's just $35 a month, less than one paycheque a year, and we are already getting such a good feeling for helping someone in need.

Deb that is so amazing. I never thought about doing something like that, but I will talk to DH about it tonight. I would love to sponsor a kid in Cuba. Like you said its a way to give back to the country. I love it. You are amazing people for doing this and I really hope you do get to meet him.

What a fabulous idea! I definitely want to look into doing something like this -- but unfortunately will have to wait until AFTER the wedding (or maybe shortly before we can start). But what a great notion! Congrats on having your heart in the right place!
