Welcome SHannon!

I agree with everyone else that once you pick your location everything else falls into place. Questions to ask yourself are: how many guests, what is your budget, All-inclusive or not, will there be kids, how much do you want your guests to spend, beach or no beach, etc...

And for Cabo, you also definitely want to ask whether you want to be in town near the nightlife and other activities or if you are okay with being removed from it.

Let us know how we can help!

Thank you all for your words of encouragement!! I appreciate it!

We are looking at having around 100 people and I was hoping to have the wedding at a smaller hotel so we could have the whole hotel. However, it appears most of these are being torn down or renovated right now...

So now I am thinking about the Sheraton but they have told me that I can not stray from their menu... Tammy wold you mind sending me the information that you were given?

Again - thankyou everyone! I look forward to learning more about all of you and your big days over the next few months!

Best,

Shannon

Shannon,
Based on what you say, you may want to look at the Cabo Surf Hotel. They are a small boutique hotel with 19 rooms of varying sizes. You could very easily fill the whole resort with your wedding party. Janet just got married there, so see her review.

Have you thought about renting a villa, or villas? I don't know much about them, but I saw one brides website and that's what she had done in puerto Vallarta. She basically rented out the entire place - so it was very private. They had the wedding there, and I believe there was a chef that just cooked dinner. It looked like a great idea, and I even considered doing something like this. I will see if I can find the link ...

Edited: just found her website - it's very thorough! Monika and Eric: Welcome to our Website for our Puerto Vallarta Wedding

Shannon, I think the reason they said it was ok for me to stay with the menu is because were having a very small wedding of only around 10 guests. With a larger group they probably need to prep allot of it ahead of time. Kash mentioned that the Hilton was a little cheaper (which is true because you won't have to hire a WC as Emeline can do it all for you) Have you checked into that? OR Casa Natalie (hope I spelled that right) it's a smaller resort and I'm not aware of them doing any renovations right now.
