No matter how loud and clear speakers and a docking station sound in your home, they will NOT (or barely) be loud enough in a reception setting. I've shot weddings where this was done and it doesn't sound good. The reception sound system will be worth it. $250 is a fair price for this and you won't regret it. All you need to plug the iPod in is a mini-stereo to RCA cable. They sell them at Wal-Mart here in Playa del Carmen for $5 or you can buy one at any Best Buy. They make fancy "iPod" cables that are the same thing but cost more like $20 but it doesn't really matter which one you use.
