Off on Scouting trip! Any advice?

We leave on our cruise tomorrow and will spend 1 day in Cabo (short day 10-6) and 1 day in Puerto Vallarta. We are scouting both places. I have the list of venues we are visiting. Some girls recommending having a list of questions to ask..........anything else? TIA
