Hello everybody.

I noticed that some photographers are completely floppy frowning.png?v=3 . Several times I encountered the case that the photographer made really good photos but did not edit them.

What do you think: is it better to address third-party wedding-retouching companies..

Speaking as a wedding photographer myself, whether the photos are to be edited should be included in the wedding photography contract. Typically photographers will give you edited images, however, there are some photographers that offer "shoot and burn" services -- meaning they shoot the wedding, then put those files onto a disk or flash drive and deliver without post-processing or editing. Shoot and burn photographers are typically cheaper, but then you end up with photos that have not been edited.

You should definitely make sure you clarify this detail ahead of time before you hire your photographer and ensure that the details are included in your service contract.

My advice is to contact your photographer first before any third-party editor. There are also clauses in contracts that don't allow a photographer's photos to be edited by a third party source unless they give you permission. Hope that helps!
