Hello!

Just beginning to plan my destination wedding and don't even know where to start. Here is what I do know...

I want to go somewhere warm and beachy but I don't want to get married on the beach.

I am looking for an all-inclusive resort but don't want to break the bank.

I'm traveling from Massachusetts and also have 2 children under 5 but will have my whole family for help.

My mom is a teacher and I do need to work around a regular school schedule so thinking possibly February vacation for April vacation.

I'm thinking possibly Mexico or the Dominican.

We have a rather small group that will be attending.

That's pretty much all I have and I'm open to any suggestions. I feel so confused in this world and want to set things in stone so we can start saving. Help!

@@Bmitch829 Welcome and congrats on your engagement!! The first place to start is the hunt for a great Travel Agent. Do you have one yet? The owners of this site can definitely help you if you are still searching for one.

From your list of requirements the resort that I was married at this January might be a good fit. The only thing is the price per person. It is definitely not one of the cheapest resorts but we were able to secure a good rate (Azul Fives). I'm from Canada so our packages work differently. We paid $1630 (CDN) from Toronto that included a flight for 7 days. I would say April is probably a more affordable option in comparison to Feb. If you are working around a teaching schedule you may also want to look at the summer months as prices tend to drop.

Azul Fives:

*Family Friendly

*Several non beach locations to choose from (Sky Terrace -free, Pier, Beachfront location, Sky Deck for an additional charge)

Sky Terrace (this is where I was married)

Pier (sorry not a great pic)

(New)Beachfront Location

Sky Deck

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions about Azul Fives. The add ons can definitely start to get costly but you can definitely have a budget friendly beautiful wedding at this resort...but then again I'm a bit biased! ;)

I started by googling best destination wedding locations in Jamaica. I found an article that listed about 12 locations with details. I needed a family friendly all inclusive location too. I copied the list and visited each site and was able to find what I feel will be perfect for us! Good luck and I hope this helps!

I am also having mine at Dreams Punta Cana. I can say the place looks really nice and they are very kid friendly. And your wedding is the only one,on that day and almost everyone has there wedding in Mexico. And from what I have heard Punta Cana is a really pretty place to visit
