Royalton Riviera Cancun Brides 2016/2017

I have emailed the wedding planners at the hotel to get extra information regarding prices etc.

 

However, as I have booked our holiday through the travel agent I don't have another choice now. They have just told me my wedding contract was apparently only sent to the resort last week. They should be pretty quick though considering how quickly you both had your details confirmed. I'm just a bit worried as they seem to be getting booked up for May 2017 and our holiday is booked for 17th - 31st May.

 

Thanks for coming back to me girls, its nice to have a few of us which are all getting married at the same time and having the same sort of ceremonies/receptions.

No way! This is exciting. I may just have to snoop on your wedding before mine to see how everything looks haha!! We must have a celebratory drink! What day do you arrive at the resort?

I get a credit for every 8th person. Value of flight and accommodations, minus taxes and surcharges! We fly with sunwing and I think this is a deal they have with them though I'm flying from Canada so it may be a tad different than the states.

LOL feel free to snoop! We will definitely be meeting for a drink. We haven't booked our room yet but right now it looks like we'll be arriving on the 4th and leaving on the 9th or 10th and then heading down to Secrets Akumal for a little 3 night "minimoon" away from the fam.

I am in exactly the same boat, my travel agent sent my contract almost two weeks ago and I am still waiting for confirmation. I plan to get married in June but its so frustrating as I cant order invites until date is confirmed.

I have booked with Thomson too and I have been waiting for 2 weeks also, I know exactly how you feel I really want to send invites out but cant at the moment. So frustrating, the wedding department have been awful, they even tried to increase the amount of our wedding by £600.

I am new to this site so still getting used to it. My invites will take two weeks to be made and i cannot place order until wedding date and time confirmed and the holiday price is constantly increasing so im stressing for my guests that need to book. Why were they trying to increase it? To be fair the girls in thomson have been so helpful and say that the contract was sent as soon as it was signed but its the hotel they are waiting to hear from.

In any case, let us know if we could be of any other help here in the Riviera Maya to help you plan your wedding. Then found out it took a week to actually process it as apparently they had 8000 contracts in that week, and then when they processed it there systems had been updated since we had booked. To be honest if it's the same wedding department which deals with Ireland as well as England id be surprised if they submitted it to the Royalton straight away x

So much confusion, yeah you are probably right. The only good thing is they let me book a group of my family so thay they get the initial holiday price as i was panicking as everyday price is increasing! How many guests are you hoping to travel? Fingers crossed we get are dates back soon x

That's good, we didn't do that as I didn't want to commit my family before I had actually spoken to them. The price hasn't changed too much though, it's just started going up a bit but I reckon it will fluctuate through the year anyway. Well I'm sending invites to 40 with a definite 27 including us. What about you? I really hope so, just baffled me as some of the girls who have booked direct heard within a few days. Why does it take Thomson so long? The only reason I have is because of the difference between a civil and symbolic. They might have to find out if a minister is available x
