Save The Dates

I am currently getting my save the dates ready to send out and I am going back and forth on addressing them out to my guests.  Should they be formal or informal?

Safe the dates are usually a bit more on the fun side. It also depends on the relationship with the particular people you're sending them to. i wouldn't be too formal with them. It's supposed to be your way of saying "hey. we're getting married and hope you can be there"  Depending on how many you're sending out, you generally can figure about 50% of the number of people that will actually attend.
