Hello @@Samilynn I am getting married while in port in Jamaica on April 13, 2016. We will be sailing on Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas. Are you getting married on the ship or in port? Are you working with a travel agent to book your guests? How many guests are you expecting? Let me know if you have any questions for me.

@mention, thank you for responding. I sent out 150 save the dates as of right now I have 65 ppl that have rsvp via my wedding website. But as of right now I only have 25 ppl that have put down their deposit. I am working with several agents. One from ncl, one from vacation outlet (a lot of my guest went w them because of the deposit and the extra amenities), and liberty travel for the airline. I am getting married at sea.

My only question is how are you dealing with the unknown...

You are very welcome!! I think we can really help each other through this process :)

Wow, 65 rsvp is great!! Too bad only 25 have committed. What is your deadine?

We invited about 100 people and have 30 people booked. Our room release is December 4th, but guests could still book after that if the cruise has availability. We only have about 4 people that want to book, but are still working out the details. We are not dealing directly with the cruise line. All our guests are booking through our travel agent.

What do you mean by "unknown"? My fiance and I did a cruise on the ship we will be on for the wedding cruise and we also did the itinerary so that we knew what to expect as far as the ship and ports go. We also talked with the staff on the ship and asked them questions and figured out how they could help us. For example, we asked if they would allow us to drop off my dress in our room before the room is ready, instead of carrying it around the ship for hours. Since we have a suite on our cruise, we can arrange to meet the concierge on the dock and he/she will take us to our room to drop off our stuff early. We have cruised quite a bit, so we are able to answer a lot of the normal questions our guests have.
