Oh Hun I am so sorry I've been MIA. It's been crazy busy at work but it's subsided somewhat so I'm back!! I'm sorry I've missed so much and I'm even more sorry to hear about your best friend. That's awful what her fiancé has done to her and I get she's in a rough place but I'm hoping she realizes soon that he's the bad guy, not you. It's always so much easier to lash out at those we love and subconsciously, she could just be angry that your relationship with Col is real when her's wasn't. Just leave her alone and hopefully time will bring her back to reality and sanity!

 

So I see that you have crossed quite a bit off your list, congrats!!! I'm so glad I'm back to see your final prep and countdown. I'm so excited for you.

 

As for hairpiece, I have the one I used that I will happily send your way if you like. It's on my fb page so just let me know and I'll ship it asap

I'm overwhelmed with people's kindness, @@deecol. Three lovely brides (@@snswedding2016, @ & @wafflesmom) all offering you their veil/headpiece...it makes me smile. Not only are people here to share their wins, successes, fails, etc. they're all here to make sure your day is perfect

@@Wafflesmom I'm doing exactly what you said, leave her alone for a bit and hopefully she will start to see some clarity, I'm still thinking about her all the time of course and hoping that she's okay.

OMG you are so sweet and thoughtful to offer to send your hairpiece!!! I may go with a flower... I am so undecided and probably can't make a decision until I see my hair and I'm doing a trial next week, but we have some time so can I let you know?  That is so incredibly generous of you to offer, wow.

@@deecol I'm sorry to hear about the situation with your friend and her mom. Like everyone else has said, hopefully they will see the light once some time has passed. I think you are being awfully "big" about the situation. Good for you. I hope it works out in the end and I'm glad to hear you are excited about your new bridesmaid. Your day will be amazing no matter what. Your to-do list is getting smaller and smaller!

Thank you for thinking I am being "big" about everything.  I can't help but feel bad knowing what's she's going through... hopefully we'll be able to talk about everything soon.  I am sooo excited about my new bridesmaid and so is she!  We were like sisters and kind of drifted but this is bringing us closer and it feels right having her up there with me.

 

I went through my to-do list with Col yesterday and it is sooo manageable!  I'm just hammering down on it lol

1 Month until we say I DO!  24 Days until Mexico!

 

 

Wow.  I can't believe I woke up today and it was exactly one month until our wedding day!

 

I've been able to tick a few more things off the list and decided to reorganize my list like @@vancouverpetunia 's because it is sooo much easier to read that way!  And bolded the new items.

 

COMPLETE:

• Dress alterations
• Music chosen - Prelude Music, Bridal Party Entrance, Bride's Entrance, Document Signing Music, Recessional Song, Father/Daughter-Mother/Son (doing the same dance)
• Picked up beach bags from Total Advantage
• Passport renewed
• Groommen's suits sent to UK for tailoring
• Wedding wishes & marriage application sent to WC - sent Guestlist this week
• Sent new bridesmaid's details to WC for marriage application
• Confirmed ceremony and dinner details with WC
• Confirmed photo package with photographer
• Booked eyelash extension appt (thanks to @ for her recommendation), mani, pedi, hair dye, & waxing appts before leaving
• Card box
• Painted table numbers
• Ring box
• Wedding day timeline
• Centrepieces: vases, flowers & candles purchased
• Bought garter and sticky boobs with weekend
• Ties
• Initial travel vaccines complete
• Email to guests regarding wedding day attire etc sent out
• Gift for new bridesmaid:

She loves to drink lol so I thought this was perfect for her.  I still need to have it engraved, which I'll likely try to do at the same time as our rings (if we have them engraved.  I'm also left with one extra pink bouquet charm that I bought for my ex-bridesmaid, I'll likely just try to sell it with a couple of other items after the wedding.

 

• Hair Trial - A co-worker lent me a feathery piece her mom used for her wedding and we tried it out last night:

 

We're going with a high bun, sleek sides and a slight poof in the front.  It's not as polished as it will be on the wedding day of course but this is basically how it will look 

 

IN PROGRESS:

• ​The remaining 40 beach bags have arrived, I need to meet my girlfriend this week or next to pick up
• The phone cases are expected to be delivered by April 1st... patiently waiting
• I decided to not use the cake topper as my mom thought it might be bad luck and then I got paranoid, so I ordered another.  It was shipped within the hour after I ordered it and I got an email from the shipper saying it will arrive between April 6th and 28th... praying  that with it moving so quickly already it will arrive before we leave but if not I have a back-up in mind
• Welcome letter, I spy & social media signage almost complete - want to run by Col when he gets back
• MC Script - need to write out
• Seating Chart - this will be in progress until the week before, still working on a way to display
• Clothing for Mexico - bought a couple dresses and a pair of bikini bottoms last weekend, so I'm good for swimsuits
• Tanning - currently going 1-2 times a week
• Packing List - started writing
• Second round of vaccines the weekend before we leave, followed by the last round 4 months later
• Tags for champagne bottles bubbles that will be put on the tables, stuck between 2 sayings: "Blow bubbles and warm wishes for the new Mr & Mrs" or "To fill the air with a little romance, Please blow these bubbles while we have our first dance".  I think I'm leaning more towards the second one, what do you ladies think?
• Downloading Songs

TO DO:

• Col's suit alterations, we were done but now he wants his vest tailored (why couldn't he decide all this at one time? lol) so he's bringing it into a tailor near his work.  Thank goodness because I've already been to the suit place more times than the bridal store for my dress
• Paper Fans - still deciding on these
• Engraving - both our wedding bands and the flask
• Exchange currency
• Buy a selfie stick for the go-pro, batteries for the walkie-talkies, an external charger, bug spray & sunscreen among other things
• Timeline for photographer and specific shots, to print out pictures as examples as well
• Assemble binder or correspondence for the WC
• Confirm rehearsal ceremony timing and date with WC - she says she will let me know if we can have this... I swear they won't do anything a little bit extra for you, I already cancelled my rehearsal dinner because she couldn't give me what I wanted so I'm really pushing for this to happen
• Thank you speeches
• Back-up white dress for reception
• Outfit for bachelorette - can I just say the girls are going all out for this, it's an all day and night thing and I have no clue what's happening except they are getting flower crowns for everyone to wear - I'm excited!
• More shopping
• Send an invite for the wedpics app to the guests who haven't already joined the week before we leave
• Once songs are all downloaded, load onto Wedding DJ App
• Pack!

Yay! You are ridiculously close! I've been meaning to message and catch up with you. I'm really excited for you!

Your hair is going to look beautiful - I really like how it looks even with it not being polished! Can't wait to see it all come together with your dress/whole look.

I think the hair piece will be perfect with how the bottom of my dress looks!  I'm super happy with it!
