Good news- I pretty much achieved my goals last week by working out at the gyms 4 times and doing exercise at home on 2 of the 3 other nights. I took Friday night off, but that is usually my cheat night anyway, so I don't feel guilty about taking 1 night off.

Bad news- I didn't lose any weight. Although, I did not gain any either. Hopefully, it means I was losing inches instead of losing pounds.

Goals for this week- Try a new workout tomorrow night with a co-worker (she wasn't at work today, so couldn't confirm, but I plan to go whether or not she goes). Still work out 4 times this week and keep up my home routine. Track calories daily in MFP and stay under 1200 calories, even if I work out that day.

Hi ladies - I'm back from vacation and living up to my commitment to come back and make my first post. I'm Erin from Vancouver and I'm getting married April 7, 2016 at Now Sapphire.

I've been wanting to lose weight/inches prior to the wedding. I even signed up for personal training sessions but GAINED weight since then Definitely on me because I ate and drank A LOT over the summer, but also did not have a good experience with the training, which did not help. Long story.

So, a friend encouraged me to join a health/fitness program that she's been doing. It's primarily online - where you have workout routines/schedules, menus/recipes and a support group all available. But I'll also work out with her a few times a week so that will help to hold me accountable. We officially start next week.

Long term goals: Drop a dress size and tone arms/back/tummy by April.

This week: Get to the gym 3x. Read through all the program material so that I am set up for my workouts next week. Do meal planning & prep for next week.

So far I've been to the gym once and talked myself out of a very large, very delicious looking double chocolate cookie.

@calgarybride2015 @cruisebride2016 @vancouverpetunia Yaaaaaaaaa Way to go ladies!  Love your motivation!

I'm just checking in - doing really well with diet and exercise this week, I've worked out everyday since Friday - spin twice, weights twice, 40 min steady state cardio, and I started the HiitMax program yesterday - was only 15 minutes and had both Colin and I dripping in sweat.  It's meant to be done three times a week so we are doing again tonight and Friday night.  Will be hitting the weights again tomorrow morning, spin on Friday morning, then a well deserved rest day for a family bbq I have going on Saturday and back at it on Sunday.

@@cruisebride2016 I love your motivation! You are doing so well, way to go girl!

@@vancouverpetunia welcome back! How was your trip? I'm so glad you've joined us. I'm glad you have a friend to join you in your fitness/health journey. I know you'll be able to meet your goals by April and we're here to motivate you:) And great job turning down the chocolate cookie, that's a step in the right direction :)

@@deecol Great job hun! How are you feeling? How is the HIITmax program? I've been tempted to try it but didn't know if it was good or not.

As for me, I have not had a great week. I had my bachelorette party last Saturday and after a lot of drinking and eating, unfortunately my body gave up on me. I have been sick with a fever and a bad cold since Sunday. So basically I haven't exercised. I also haven't eaten too much since I can't taste anything at all. I have been so tempted to workout but Der says I'll just get worse. I'm hoping I'll get better soon!

@@Wafflesmom  I am feeling so much better thank you!  I've been eating really clean and taking a multivitamin and extra vit c & d to make sure I don't get sick again anytime soon.  I'm so sorry to hear you're not well!!  You know the drill - lots of rest & fluids.  And try and take some vit c too if you aren't already.  That's what finally kicked mine in the butt!  Don't try to push yourself if you're not well, Der is right (but don't tell him I said he is  ;) )

The HiitMax program is awesome so far!  I've never done a workout like this so it's something new to add to my existing routine, and it's challenging - like I said we were dripping after 15 minutes.  The fact that it's only 3 times a week for 15-20 min makes it easy to do. I'll let you know how the rest of the program goes!

Thanks for the tips @@deecol I've been taking vitamin c but not vitamin d so will get some. I've been off sick for two days now and am so bored lol. I at least can breathe now so that's an improvement! And no, I won't tell Der you agreed with him lol. He threatened to call his mom and my mom if I worked out while sick! Rat lol

And yes, please let me know is hat you think of HIITmax. If you say it's good, im pulling the gun and buying it!

Okay.  Sigh.  When I'm not motivated I don't take action.  I think the magic ingredient that set me in motion last time was extreme disappointment in how far I let myself slide.  I feel that way again.  Mostly when I sit down and feel my expanded belly mass pressing up against my pants.  Ugh!  I ate perfectly today, and when I'm on afternoons I'll go for walks.  Hopefully I'll be able to squeeze in an extra walk or two before then too.  I'm going to eat my left over Indian takeout from yesterday for dinner, and then I should be in the clear.

I can totally relate to what you are feeling. When I was up 10 after the wedding I didn't seem to do much. But now at 20 and my pants give me a stomach ache I am so angry with myself and feel that same extreme disappointment. So far it's stuck this time and I'm down 3.2lbs but still have a long ways to go. You'll get back there. If I can, so can you :). Make small goals and work your way up.

Hi ladies. Sorry I've been MIA...its been hectic at work! I have been okay food wise however struggling with drinking water. I'm only managing around a litre. My goal is to up that to 2 litres minimum from today. I have weighed and lost 2.5 over the last 1.5 weeks. Exercise has not been to plan. Only managing 2/3 35-45 minute sessions a week but will try to improve on this

Sounds like what you are doing is working as that's a great loss. I only ever do 3 1-Hour workouts a week so all

You ladies doing it daily are my hero. No time between work, school and the kids for more!

Do what you can -- great goals :)
