Calgary Brides! Wedding Dress Dry Cleaning!

Recommended Posts

Now I don't feel so bad. My dress from 4 years ago is still in the bag and I haven't had it cleaned either. I had to clean up the bottom of it after Jamaica for our AHR but after that I put it away. I can't wear it now - it doesn't fit but it's black around the bottom plus my heel got caught in the grass then in my dress and pulled one of the underskirts and ripped it. I only paid $400 for it so spending $300 to get it cleaned isn't worth it. I haven't even given any thought to what to do with it. I know there's the brides project here in Toronto but I don't know what the rules are for donating dresses.

I saw a Groupon today for wedding dress dry cleaning and preservation for $279 at Dry Cleaning by Dave.

No idea if it's a reputable place, but with some research may be a good price!

There was another just for the dry cleaning for $250 by Green Fine Dry Cleaning.

I'm stuck. I got the groupon to clean my dress before taking it to Argentina. I go in 3 weeks before we leave (thinking that was plenty of time) and they tell me they need at least 6 weeks to clean it. Anyway, since I have to take it somewhere else, I'm trying to sell the groupon. I paid $250 for it and asking $200 for it. It's for Green Fine Dry Cleaners in Calgary. Any takers?

I'm not sure I wanna put the money into having mine cleaned .... I will revisit this decision lol. When does the groupon expire? Good luck!!!

And ps - I would have thought 3 weeks was enough too.

Has anyone used drycleaning by Dave? I am in Cochrane and they have a location here and will need my dress cleaned before the wedding as it was off the rack and is quite dirty.  I honestly will travel anywhere in Calgary for the best clean, and not super stressed about prices as I got my dream dress 50% off.  I mean, of course don't want to spend a fortune, but I don't want it ruined.
