All Inclusive With Courtyard?

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone,

My fiance and I are finally starting to plan our wedding after being engaged a few months. We are on the same page on doing a destination wedding within our budget and keeping it to 20-30 people, but differ on type of venue. And we both aren't fond of going through the stress of planning all the fine details of a wedding. Considering these things, I would like to keep it simple and go with a package that one of the all-inclusive resorts have to offer. On the other hand, my fiance doesn't want to do the beach thing and imagines having a beautiful hacienda/spanish courtyard type wedding. So, we are attempting to meet in the middle and look for an all-inclusive resort with an intimate courtyard that can host our wedding. Unfortunately, our searches have been dead-ends thus far. An idea of what we're looking...the courtyards of the Riviera Maya Haciendas, but within an all-inclusive resort.

Has anyone came across something like this in Cancun or in/around the Riviera Maya area?

All help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Ant

Congratulations on your engagement! :) Those courtyards are beautiful. I can see the appeal. Unfortunately I can't think of any resorts with this kind of set up. I just went through all the wedding packages that I received from various resorts and none seemed to have this. Also thinking back to the resorts I've visited and not remembering anything like this. Not to say it doesn't exist, but it may be hard to find. The closest I can come up with are garden/fountain locations or chapels, which aren't really anything like those courtyards, but they aren't beaches or gazebos. I'm sure you will find something that suits you perfectly.

Congratulations and welcome to the site! I'm sure you'll get tons of tips and ideas from the ladies here!

I will highly recommend finding a travel agent. They will help you with your budget and work with you on your wants and needs and also help with questions your guests might have instead of you having to do that work when you will have other things to do.

There is only one resort that comes to mind and I'm not even sure it has what you want but I just remember someone mentioning one of the RIU hotels as being a hacienda style. I just don't remember which one. You could take a look at the ones I the Riviera Maya and see if something clicks there. Otherwise I think a travel agent is your best bet and one that specializes in destination weddings.

Good luck and keep us posted on what you come up with!
