Coming to thalind, deciding on options totally depends on what kind of experience you are looking at. If you like somewhat chaos, Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket are your go to places.

 

If your idea is intimate wedding on a secluded beach, Krabi and Koh Smui are bang on. 

 

We did an engagement in Krabi and connectivity was smooth. We had thorough checkin from bangkok to Krabi so no baggage issues. (do check with airline though). Moreover, in Krabi you can opt for watersports, trip to four islands, Phi Phi and list goes on.

 

At any of these places, you may even opt for villas rentals.
