There is no way I'm paying $2000 for photography! Where did you get the price list? I'm wondering now if mine is out of date. We're intending on getting the basics and then having photography skilled family and friends handle the rest.

There is a new price list but I believe the $2000 package is like 6-8 hours worth. Hopefully the basic packages are still the same.

Who are you considering?

 

Yes the resort photographer isn't associated with the GS wedding department so it's all done separately. Still can't believe their prices jumped so much.

I've narrowed it down to Octavio Montes ($1650 for 6 hours), Lacelotti ($1600 for 6 hours), and Luckie Photography ($1600 for 8 hours). And now i've just realised that those are USD meaning my cheapest price will be $2135

Certainly changed-I had 7 hours,200 photos and a Photobook for $1600 US.

 

At the time I couldn't beat that price with the outside fee but you sure can now.

@@calgarybride2015 That was the package I had down in my budget and then they changed the price to $2500 and its just crazy!

It is and with our dollar right now it's just too pricey! Thankfully you pay the wedding in peso!

With our dollar the way it is I have been converting EVERYTHING from peso or USD to the current Canadian dollar.  So I don't get lulled in to thinking "gee that's not bad" and then getting sticker shock later when I have to pay.

@@yycbride2016 that's such a great list! Thanks for reminding me that I should start my list too so I know what else I have to do. Now I don't know how far into the weeds you want to get with your list but don't forget about personal grooming appts like wax, haircut and colour, nail appts, and such. Oh and gown alterations if you need any
