Hello! Dominican Republic Newbie!

Hello Everyone!

 

My FH husband and I are heading to Punta Cana, DR at the end of January for our destination wedding. Our actual wedding date is January 29, 2008. We have chosen the Riu Palace Macao as our resort.

 

We have about 30 people attending; quite a number of them are under the age of 8, including our 20 month old son Carter.

 

Now that the guest list has been pretty much finalized, I am in the process of looking into a photographer for the wedding. From my last email with the WC it seems as though a new on-site photographer is working at the RIU. I have yet to see any of his work and am a little weary.

I have to tell you that I haven't seen any resort-photographer pictures from Punta Cana that I thought were that great.

 

We are getting married there inApril 2008 and are flying in a photographer. I think it just depends on your budget and where in your priority list the pictures are. It's barely in our budget, but it's a top priority, so we're going to make it work.

 

Have you asked to seem some of the RIU guys work?

What a wealth of info you'll find here on the forums!!! Do some research on a photographer - you definetely aren't limited to the resort photographer.
