Cake Flavors

We're looking for something light without fruit. My FI doesn't like fruit flavored cakes We're already having a lot of chocolate desserts at our buffet. So we're trying to find a yummy light flavor for our cake. And the frosting will be buttercream. Any suggestions?

I've always had a fondness for almond flavored cakes and with buttercream frosting...yum! Otherwise what about poppyseed if you're trying to steer clear of chocolate and vanilla?

Hmmm I've never had a poopyseed cake, it sounds yummy though. Would poppyseed be the filling or the cake?

Oh are you looking for a filling? I must've misunderstood. Almond and poppyseed would be the actual cake flavor. I've heard of a kahlua flavored filling before. That would be awesome! And fitting for a DW.
