Sparklers! (Reception, First Dance)

question - what are you doing for your send off now?  i was thinking having everyone shake their maracas as we have our exit?

That's so exciting that you are going to do the sparkler first dance! 

 

I haven't actually put much thought into the send off.  The last destination wedding that I attended was more of a stumble off.  We all made plans to go to the hotel disco and that was all I can remember. 

Our reception will end at 11 and I trust that most will be tipsy tipsy...so I don't know if I will plan anything at that point. 

 

I've seen the "send off" used in movies and some weddings where the bride and groom leave the reception and then go off to their honeymoons...but seeing as we would be leaving the reception just to then be with the group still...I don't know if it really applies for me.

Our guests shook the maracas as we entered the reception. Was fantastic. Wasn't planned they just did it

 

As another poster said -- since we left the reception to continue the party a send off seemed silly. Also a lot of people (older folk) left the reception earlier than us so would have missed it anyways.
