Guests Flying In From All Over The World! Help!

Alright ladies, I've been scouring this web site for weeks now and i have finally chosen my top 3 resorts. Thanks for all of your help!

But now, I'm trying to find a good TA that will help me get good deals for my guests.

The only issue is that my guests will be coming in from both the US and Canada, roughly 20 from Toronto Canada area, and roughly 30 from the Houston USA area.

I have contacted a Canadian TA who has told me she can deal with both BUT she has to use two different travel tours. I understand. Just worrying that she may not be able to get the best of deals for both sides.

My question is, do you guys suggest I use two DIFFERENT agents? One that will deal with the Canadian side and then one that will deal with the US side? I want my guests to get the best deals. But I also would like it if I could just have one TA.

That way everything is more organized, and the more people I bring through one TA, the best deals i can get with the hotel right?

Has anyone dealt with this before/currently? Can someone recommend their TA that has dealt with this?

My brain is mush right now, sorry if this doesn't make sense lol

 HAAAALP!

Have you considered just getting a TA to get you a good group rate for the resort and let the guests book their own air travel?

I'm from Canada and went this route for my guests (all from Canada), as some people were only able to attend for 3-4 days while other guests where there for 7+ days. We could have gotten a package with resort and airfare, but we knew that not everyone would be able to be there for the 7 days included in the package. We were able to get the lowest group rate available, then guests could pick their own air travel and pick the length of their stay and when they came and left.

I feel that it worked out best for our guests, but I know some people didn't think it was a good enough deal (aka they didn't really look into our group rate and only wanted to look for packages on their own even though in the end they paid the same price as everyone else lol).

We have worked with wedding groups when there are just a few bookings coming from Canada but it can get complicated with quoting in USD.  Also, Canadian suppliers can usually get the best rates for canadians and US suppliers for US.

If you want to send an inquiry via the link in my siggy we can explore your situation and see if we can help.

@@caddiva21 I have a similar situation.  Half my guests are coming from Canada and half from the UK.

We've spoken to a couple of Canadian TAs and because of travel laws they can only book the flights for the Canadian people and negotiate a land only rate for the UK people.  We want everyone to get the best deal so at the moment we are in contact with agents and tour operators in both countries, finding out the best price at the best time of year for everyone as we are flexible (any time in April-June 2016) and are going from there.  Once we select the week, we will contact the resort to put our wedding date on hold, hold seats with each agent and let our guests know they have until a certain date to put their deposit down.

Hope this has helped!

Good luck and happy planning!
