Silly Question About Payments For The Wedding.

When do you start to pay the hotel for the reception and all other costs welcome parties, etc.

I assume they take cash at the hotel and credit card..

At the Riu, they take payment when you meet with the wedding coordinator (usually the day after you arrive, you meet with them)

At our resort we paid a $500 deposit in US funds to hold our spot. The rest was paid at the meeting we had with the WC. Thankfully that was charged in peso either by cash, debit or credit card.

We have to pay everything by June 30th, and the wedding is August 13. I fill out a sheet and it gets charged to my credit card. Then there might be some extra fees depending on my set up etc. once we get there so we're bringing some extra money with us.

Check your wedding contract, should be in there. Ours had various down payments every time we reserved a specific service and then full payment 45 days prior to our wedding date.=

We never had to put down a deposit. Our payment is due when we meet and confirm everything with our WC.
