Hey girl! Been awhile since I've commented goodness!!

 

I'm sorry to hear about the drama! Not fun, I totally understand the stress of friends and trying to convenience them! Just gotta remember these people are adults so they should be taking care of themselves; you're not their mother, so they can problem solve for themselves! Jordan had one friend that kept saying he was going to book the next day always, and it got to the point that Jordan stopped reminding him because you just get tired of the small lie. It would be nice if people could seriously make up their minds before the final date (which is set for that very reason!) instead of causing confusion after the end date. I'm glad she said no because that's one less thing to worry about now ️

 

My fiancé wanted to get married in our bathing suits and then dive into the ocean after the ceremony is over men are crazy at times I believe LOL

Well I don't feel so bad about my dress now, I was talking with a friend the other day who's getting married in July. His Fiance's dress was around $4000 with the veil and stuff  . I guess she kind of shopped out of her budget and once she tried on this dress she loved it, of course, so she had to get it. He said it's still a bit of a sore spot but he couldn't tell her not to get the dress of her dreams. 

 

People keep asking me that too!  I live with my fiance and we already have everything we need, we also have a small apartment.  I agree with you that scanning things would be fun!  

Yeah we're going the traditional way so I don't know if I'm more excited for the wedding or for moving in with him . It's just this ball of excitement and I love it hahah. 

 

@@TinkerSofi I haven't been on here as much as I'd like so I'll try to keep this short.

 

- I'm sorry to hear about all the drama with Juan's friend. I'm glad it worked out in the end and his gf isn't going. Don't ever feel like you get penalized for helping people out. It just goes to show how selfless you and Juan are for helping ppl out, even if it means more stress on your part. I know it's naive of me to think his friend must feel awful that he's caused you stress but, at least you guys know you did your part and no one can fault you give that

 

- playlist looks great. I love your song choices and I hope you don't mind but I may steal some of your ideas. I love the story about your father and daughter dance. Great choice as it means a lot to both of you

 

- I'm glad to hear you got the chicken cutlets and foot petals! Make sure you test out the cutlets to make sure they have good staying power. I'd hate to hear that they've ended up on your be,my again lol

 

- I love the vase! I'll have to check out ikea for frames, I keep forgetting that they have great stuff like that

 

Yeah, sometimes I think people are kind of naive about the trouble other people go through to help them out. I've always been like that and at least this isn't one of those cases when people take advantage of you, which is nice. I'm so glad everything is resolved and we're all set to go . I received a list from my TA the other day, we're sitting at 18 rooms, 36 people. So we have 38 guests total! (a couple are staying out of the resort or coming for only a few days).

 

Steal away girl! Maybe I will post a word document with a list of reception songs in case some of you guys want to get some ideas . I do have a lot of Spanish songs so I don't know how relevant it might be for most people. 

 

The cutlets, lol, I told my mom the other day "I have to try on my chicken cutlets!" and she asks me "is that what they're actually called?" hahah. It definitely took a couple of tries to get them right but I think I got it now. They stick on pretty well if they're set up properly so I don't think they'll fall off. I can't really get much cleavage from the middle thing because it's a bit wide for me (unless I put them half way to my back hahah), but meh, they still look better than not wearing anything! I'm getting so excited to go for the alterations in 2 weeks!

I know, if people are like this with work deadlines, oh boy, haha. But yeah I'm glad it's all sorted out and that stress is over. 

 

Yeah my fiance wanted to give people fanny packs with utensils and people would just go around and eat their dinner haha. He also wanted to skip the whole dance of the reception and just go to a club (he was actually serious about this). I was basically like "hell no" I can go to a club any other day, this is my wedding. I guess I got the crazy look on because he looked at me like "ok, ok" hahah.

Two news today! 

 

The guest list is complete! The last couple booked last night, they're staying at the hotel next door, which looks gorgeous and I can't believe I missed it when doing research! Anyways I'm happy that they are coming . 

 

Now it's time to finalize the table seatings. Does it happen to everyone that you always have two extra people, that no matter how you arrange the tables there's always two people who cannot sit with their friends because they don't fit! So frustrating and driving me nuts but I'm trying to make it work. Hopefully since we're all stuck in the same hotel they'll make friends with their table people haha. I feel like I'm trying to play fortune teller to see who is more likely make friends with who during the week .

 

The ties arrived! They are really nice, the groomsmen ties (the solid ones) match my shoes exactly. I am very pleased and the price was reasonable. They were around $25 each. I got them from an etsy store called tieobsessed

I was looking at my guest list and making a draft seating chart last week and I came accross the same issue haha. I was thinking the exact same thing.

 

Love the ties!!

Good! I was thinking that I can't be the only one! haha. I've had a draft forever but even as things change I keep having the same issue hahah. 

 

The ties are definitely darker than what I saw on my screen but I really don't care. At this point I think I'm starting to get over those silly details hahah. I just want the day to be here! They'll look great anyway . I thought they'd be more pastel pink but they're more pink pink . This makes me laugh because if I'd say that to Juan I know he'd say "what's the difference? they're all pink" hahaha

I had the same issues with my seating chart. I actually cut little white squares with paper and wrote a name on each. I played around and once I had a decent set up I took a picture lol. Then we chose between them after. At the end of the day they only sit there to eat then they dance and mingle so don't let it cause you too much stress. We had people all over all night and it worked good.

 

I know you told me?!? Maybe not but what's the resort next door? I always love to know where people are staying hehe. Gives me ideas and later on, reviews.

 

Ties look great! And at a distance and unless side by side something else you won't even notice

they're staying at grand riviera princess. I guess the reason why I didn't see it was because I did all my research in the Cancun area and then we ended up in playa del carmen haha. 

 

Yeah, I did want Juan's tie to be different than the others. I think the pink will look very nice with his blue suit and the other ties will add a nice pop of color to things

yeah i don't think i had told you because they just booked yesterday. Anyway, it's definitely on my to go list, especially since it's quite a bit cheaper than the hotel we're staying at!

I'm glad the list helped. the hotel's list really got me started and then I just went through my itunes and picked songs that I liked haha

 

it is coming together nicely. I don't have a lot to buy either, just a a few things off etsy. I really wanted some hangers that said bride and groom or our names, but at this point I'm kind of like "whatever", I'll use the resort wood hangers for the one picture of my dress. I know they're not as pretty but are people really going to notice, are we really going to miss them? I don't think so. I haven't scratched them off completely, but I think it's starting to dawn on me that the final payment is due soon so I better save some money. 

 

 We went on Tuesday to get Juan's ring, but since it's from spence we have to wait until they make it. I'll post a picture when he receives it.
