How Soon Is Too Soon To Book Photographer?

Recommended Posts

Now that I think back, our booking deadline was exactly a year before the wedding :). But we booked the hotel a year and 3 months away, guests had 90 days to make their deposits

Officially and booked, we're at 41 adults and 3 kids. We're still waiting on 13 more. The boys still haven't booked anything, whether on their own or with our group. We talked with Juan this weekend and he said a lot of them are waiting to get jobs after graduating in May so if they find jobs they'll come, which is understandable. I'm hoping for the best, given that some of them are graduating from oil and gas engineering :(, not a good year for them sadly.

Other guests said that they'll be booking on their own because they have credit card points or they're trying to get pregnant. We'll be following up with everyone in June to finalize numbers :)

44 is a great and manageable number. Can't wait to hear the final one :)

Hopefully they can find work, it's definately an uncertain time.

We are going to look at homes maybe in a month or two as I hear it may soon become a buyers market.

I'm super happy with our number right now but I would really like at least some of the fiance's friends come.

That's great! Yeah usually the summer is a bit more of a buyers market, which is good in terms of interest rates because the banks drop them to get more clients :) so you always win some and you lose some I guess. We need to change our mortgage from a builders mortgage to a buyers one this spring/summer once we get a possession date so I'm hoping that will work to our advantage :).

Any ideas where you're going to look?

I heard too because of the economy things may change for the buyers edge. But I have no idea as I don't follow this stuff.

Good luck with getting your possession date.

North side like you solely for our work. Shawn works all over Calgary but his new office is by Calaway. I have seen some decent prices in Evanston but I really don't want a $2000/m mortgage :( Maybe country hills area or hidden valley if we decide to go 'used'.

Yeah I have no clue about all this stuff either. I basically go by what the mortgage lady told us haha.

We were on the same boat. I want to go back to school so we need to afford this on one income for a few years. You can always check out where we bought. They just released the new phase and you might like the prices :). So far we're happy with our experience.

I live in Conventry right now. I like it here :). I love that it's so close to Deerfoot and Stoney!

Yes I'm right off deerfoot and agree :)

I think you bought a townhome right? I'd consider a duplex but with 2 nine year olds we already don't have space in our current townhome. They take so much space lol

Yes we did :). I know, especially as they turn into teenagers they'll need even more space :)

I remember that trico homes was opening up some duplexes in Evanston but I never found out how much they were because we had just bought our house.

Ohhh I'll look into it. Evanston also had some starter homes (pre owned) around $400k but that mortgage payment scares me. I have what would be considered a smoking monthly payment right now but in reality I have to bite the bullet if I want to own again!!! Lol
