We had ours too immediately after. We were in a gazebo right on the beach so we did our ceremony, walked down the stairs and the waiter was right there with a tray of glasses. It was nice and gives you a "wet your whistle" after saying your vows! lol And yes, it does give people a chance to congratulate you and hug you and have a little clink of glasses with you. Then you go have your pictures and people go on to the cocktail time.
