Price List For Private Reception At Riu Palace Rm

Recommended Posts

I hope I am allowed here as I am the mother....

Still deciding between a few resorts, but our heart is on RPRM. We will have well over 40 and would probably have a private reception anyway.

Questions, Where on property do they set up private receptions?

How much per person for food and alcohol?

                  DJ cost?

I have sent request to resort as well, just looking for a price list.

Thank you, jwjw

Hi! Welcome to BDW! Of course we accept moms here!!! I'm one, just not a bride/groom mom. lol

I can't help out with a price list but I would highly recommend going through the forums here for Riu Palace and see if one of the brides may have posted it there. The RIUs are popular resorts. This is a great site if you're looking for ideas and suggestions, and the ladies are more than willing to share!

Do you have a good travel agent yet? That's a must for sure. Not sure where you are but there a lot of great suggestions for TAs on the site. Also, read through the resort and vendor reviews and see what past brides have said. That's also a good way to get ideas about the resort you've chosen.

Happy planning!

Hello @@jwjw I vacationed at RPRM last December, it is a beautiful resort. I would be happy to answer any questions you have. I did explore them for my wedding. There were a few weddings while we were there, and of course I was stalking them.

Thank you. I do have a travel agent. I started with RPRM then took a trip down Secrets, Dreams, Now , over to Punta Cana and now back to RPRM. I love the beach and feel of the Playacar area as well as it being so close to 5th Ave.

We live I STL and it is such an easy flight etc.

I have been in contact with the hotel and am surprised however that it is so hard to get info on a private reception. The other resorts mentioned above have a pretty good outline on costs. I am pretty sure we will be over the amount of guests and besides we want our own reception with DJ,dancing , etc. I also am aware that we will be paying extra for food and alcohol.

Anyway, I am just trying to get a price for all .

thank you for any insight. jwjw

I know you said you have a TA but do you have a destination wedding TA? If not, I would highly recommend the agency affiliated with this site - Wright Travel. They have won awards from resort chains for their service. There is no charge to you and they specialize in destination weddings. As well, depending on the resort you pick and your number of guests, you could be eligible for resort perks that might allow you free events or credits to use towards excursions or golf or spa treatments. Definitely worth looking into. you never know until you ask. I'm in canada and we don't have access to some of these things just by virtue of being here and our travel packages are structured differently most of the time. I've added in the link below to contact them. Like I said, you never know.

@@jwjw we originally booked our wedding at Playacar Palace. It is right on 5th Ave next door to senor frogs, beautiful resort and smells so good. Great location for us, but we ended up moving the wedding to Moon Palace, both Palace resorts. With Palace and hardrock resorts you can get a free wedding reception and earn unlimited private events.

I sent a new email to who I hope will give me a few more answers on a private reception. I am really just wanting to know our options for location and price pp for food and alcohol.

Also, I have sent out price quote requests to 3 photographers and 3 dj"s so far.

I think we are going to just make due with the natural décor of the resort/beach and not go crazy with all the little extras.   Of course, that's what we say now :)

I'll share what I find out.
