That is one thing I hear is a pain with doing a destination wedding.  I am hoping reception at Sky and Dunnas for cocktail hour.

I contacted the wedding planning group yesterday and have not had a response on who will be the coordinator for my wedding. I am assuming I still have a little bit of time since my wedding is in November.

Just a heads up to everyone else if you know where you want your reception go ahead and confirm with Teresa NOW! She told me a few times I could have the Sky bar during our discussions and then this week when I asked for pics so that I could decide she sent me pics of everywhere other than the Sky bar. When I asked for pics of the Sky bar specifically she said that it was already booked for another wedding. After a mini melt down she finally told me today that she was able to work it out to give me the Sky bar for the reception.  If you are looking for an outdoor area from what I have seen this is the best choice.  If you have the reception on the beach you have to rent a dance floor etc. Just wanted to make everyone else aware just in case you were setting your heart on the Sky bar.

 

Can you please post the pictures that she sent you?

I asked her for pictures as well but she hasn't responded.

I think that this is the only other picture I have that she sent me other than the ones you posted.  I definetley agree, it takes a week to get a response from Teresa.  When you decide what you want I would just say to make sure that you have it all in writting.

 

If you were planning on having the cocktail hr at Dunnas what were you going to do for music? I thought about the trio band since some of the packages include it however I rather use that for the welcome dinner so that I will be there to enjoy it as well.

I'm going to do trio band for cocktail hour. For the bonfire welcome party I'm going to bring my bose radio and phone and play music. But I'm still deciding on the bonfire.

@@airsusie I'm stressing over decorations. Are you thinking of doing your own or ordering from the place?

 

I know we get all white but not sure if centerpiece a will be enough color.

hi @@SusanMarie813 i hope planning and all is going well. it's funny you ask about decorations -- teresa just e mailed me asking me if i want to meet with the decor company when i'm there. we are definitely not doing our own. i'm assuming we will go with the very basic options. i'll have escort cards and menus which will add some color, but as long as there are flowers and good entertainment, i'm not v picky about other decor type things.
