Hi Finest Brides!!!!

I have a few questions for those of you who have already had your wedding - CONGRATS!!

1. What does the wedding coordinator help you with on the day of?

- Will she help tell your wedding party when to walk down the aisle and coordinate the ceremony timing?

- Will she tell guests where to go for cocktail and reception?

- Will she help you set up your guestbook or table centerpieces?

- Will she help hand out programs?

- Will she help you set up the seating chart?

2. Did you need the wedding coordinator present for your wedding rehearsal or did you just handle the rehearsal and order of operations yourselves?

3. I was told that the resort would charge $160 for 30 sparklers. Do you know of any other cheaper ideas forthe bride/grooms exit? IS this price pretty standard?

I am trying to determine what all I need to do on my wedding day to help set up and what is included. Trying to be as stress free as possible on the actual day.

Thanks so much!!!!

Hi Finest Brides!!!!

I have a few questions for those of you who have already had your wedding - CONGRATS!!

1. What does the wedding coordinator help you with on the day of? YES

- Will she help tell your wedding party when to walk down the aisle and coordinate the ceremony timing? YES

- Will she tell guests where to go for cocktail and reception?YES

- Will she help you set up your guestbook or table centerpieces? YES

- Will she help hand out programs? No they put them on the seats.

- Will she help you set up the seating chart? No you send her this info.

2. Did you need the wedding coordinator present for your wedding rehearsal or did you just handle the rehearsal and order of operations yourselves? I didn't have one just a dinner. There really is nothing to rehearse. She will show you everything days before your wedding. N

3. I was told that the resort would charge $160 for 30 sparklers. Do you know of any other cheaper ideas forthe bride/grooms exit? IS this price pretty standard? I found them on this site and my coordinator reached out to the place and was able to do me a favor and pick them up. I paid her directly. She did this on her own time.

I am trying to determine what all I need to do on my wedding day to help set up and what is included. Trying to be as stress free as possible on the actual day. The day of the wedding she meets you at a scheduled time. You discuss everything when you do your wedding day walk through. I told my bridal girls where to be and time. And hubby took care of the groomsmen. I had a card in my out of town bags with a time to meet. All guests met at the circle bar and the coordinator walked everyone to the wedding spot. Then got me. Very stress free.

Thanks so much!!!!

hi Pixistick!

The booking process we very stressful for me.  We did our travel and accomodations through funjet.com.  I work with a coordinator in their weddings department (via emails) and they can set you up with promo codes or block rooms.

I opted for a promo code for my wedding party, and all guests book on their own.  There is a monetary discount depending on how much their reseravations were.  I didn't want to do blocked rooms b/c I have to pay $50 per person deposit before hand, and I have no idea how many ppl would be actually going.

That's an option if you want to use them.

@@Maurindy2016 : That is a great question!!! I am torn! I am also trying to cut costs and really want to just gather somewhere but I wasn't sure how the Restaurants worked - like do we need reservations? etc... I am expecting approx 100 guests and if I have a welcome party at $28 per person it would be like paying for another wedding. I wish there was a cheaper option.

I was thinking of having our wedding party meet us at the Stone Gazebo for a quick rehearsal, followed by treating all of our guests to a fire show on the beach at 7pm (this is the latest they can do a fire show unfortunately smack dab at dinner time!) After the fire show, I was hoping we could all gather to a restaurant together somewhere...is that lame?

Do you brides have any other ideas?

Does the hotel provide beach bags for guests to use? I am considering doing beach bags for welcome bags but I know sometimes hotels will provide them already for guests.

Thanks all!
