Getting Wrinkles Out Of Veil

Recommended Posts

I'd like to know the same. I don't think it has to do with the fact that it's cheap, mine wasn't but you can tell it's been stored in a garment bag for a few months. It's looking kinda flat.

Ditto. All veils can have this happen. Uses a steamer. Then hang. Almost every resort or other has one. If that isn't strong enough place it down in between 2 clean white towels and place low temp iron on it and move the iron around so it doesn't get too hot.

I bought a portable steamer when we went to Jamaica. Not expensive (Walmart $25) but it worked fine on stuff when I tested it at home before we left. Just handy to have when travelling. As long as you don't put it right up against the fabric - I think it recommends about 8 inches away - something like that should work to take any wrinkles out.

I bought one to test it out but it didn't really work on anything. What brand is yours?

I think it's "Rival" but I can look tonight and check if you like. I used it on hubby's shirt just to "clean it up" and it worked fine.

What a great thread! I didn't even think about transporting the veil. Are you guys going to carry it on in the same bag as your dress?

yes, I'm bringing mine in the same garment bag as the dress and putting my fiance's suit in there too :). It will still need some steaming. I'm sure it will be on the flat side by the time we get there as well as the train of my dress because it's all tulle.
