Decor Rental In Playa - Way Cheaper

Recommended Posts

So I've had a bunch of girls from this site ask me how much I paid for my lights at my reception because everyone's hotels are charging them so much. I found a girl in Playa who has a TON of decorations and you can actually rent them from her. I rented all of my decorations from her because it saved me so much money. For example, the hotel wanted to charge me $200 per strand for those bulb lights to hang above the dance floor. She charged me $15. Since I was saving so much money through her, I rented almost everything from her for the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, cocktail party and reception.

Her Facebook page is Love & Lace Wedding Decor. The profile picture looks like a white logo with purple writing. Everything she rents out is on her facebook page with pricing. She was so easy to work with and everything looked beautiful. I met her in town and picked up my decorations so the hotel couldn't charge me a $800 outside vendor fee. Some pics are below. Just wanted to share with you all because I know how much everyone wants to save money!

You can contact her on her facebook page or through her and her husband's website. The contact webpage is http://loveandrum.com/contact/

Pictures - some of these are professional and some are just what my friends took, so sorry for the change in quality. :)

For the ceremony, I rented the chair sashes, the mason jars, the bottles hanging from the back of the gazebo and she also did petal rose cone holders for chairs closest to the aisle so the guests could throw rose petals at us when we walked down the aisle after the ceremony.

I don't have pictures of the post ceremony cocktail party yet, but I did rent bottles and vases from her for that event.

For the reception, I rented everything. She did my light wall (which made some really cool pictures), all of my lighting (bulbs overhead, paper lanterns, pool lining lanterns, lights up the post on the bed), all the decorations for my sweetheart table, entry table, reception tables.

For the rehearsal dinner, I kept it simple and just did the centerpieces for the round tables and a long row of bottles/vases for the head table.

THANK YOU so much for sharing this information.  This will be incredibly useful for me come next June.

I love this forum and I'm so impressed at how brides return back to the forum and provide useful pointers.  It's so appreciated and there's no way I would have found this info myself.

How did you set up the wall with the lights and the string lights above the dining area?

Did you have to give them the instructions, or did you just hand over the items and ideas and they constructed it all for you?

Would like to know any tips.

Thanks!

Thank you!! It was really pretty. It sort of became a picture background like prom! Haha! I loved it. It was super easy to do. They put up that pipe and drape, then a white sheet over that and then the lights which were just christmas lights and then the lace. I was so happy I was able to do it.

@ heck ya! And I bet your guests loved it too! Is Azul a hotel? If so, you took what could of been the typical hotel wedding (some that I've been to not knocking hotel weddings) and totally transformed it into a magical atmosphere. Again, I'm really impressed!

You gave me inspiration. I was trying to think of ways to make a big venue with a small guest list not seem so overwhelmingly disproportionate. Your ideas helped me envision a cozy space!

Thanks!!
