I tried ice wine this summer! was delicious but definitely for sipping in small portions!

Ice wine is lovely. And I agree, it is great when taken in small portions. It is easier on the wallet, too...

@@acw271011 My recovery was pretty good. I still have some problems breathing, but I hope it will get better in the future.

OMG! I LOVE sweeter/off-dry wines. If you like inexpensive, sweeter wines, try the moscato from Barefoot (California). Have you tried German wines? They tend to have a lot of Rieslings. We love Balthasar Ress, Dr. Loosen

When we visit the wineries in Niagara region, we fell in love with Palatine Hills' ice & dessert wines.

The Okanagan region (Kelowna) has a lot more wine than Thompson region (Kamloops). We really love sweeter wines as well and so we love Hillside Winery, The View Winery, Dirty Laundry Winery, and St. Hubertus Winery that are around Okanagan.

That's the same issue I'm dealing with right now - the breathing. It's frustrating being so short of breath all the time. I don't know yet if mine will get too much better. I'm hoping but right now we don't know.

It's so funny you should mention the Barefoot moscato! My husband LOVES that wine!!!! Funnily enough my 2 favourites both come from upstate New York. Yes - we've had one German Riesling that a colleague of my husband's recommended. It's delicious but don't ask me the name of it lol  It's a big long name - I'll have to look it up because if you like something like that, it's definitely worth trying! We looked at the Dirty Laundry wines last week, but when we were in the store we couldn't find anyone to help us with questions so we walked out. My son took us to Granville Island - I had never been before - and we stopped into a wine store there. There was another name - with funny labels on the bottles and funny names. Really silly names.... I'll ask my husband what it was.

I just looked up the winery that you mentioned and it's one we haven't tried yet. We've done Konzelman and Strewn which are almost right beside, on the same road so we'll have to check it out. We're actually going next weekend down that way. We're only a half hour or so from Niagara. We booked a hotel deal at the Falls and will have dinner and finally celebrate our anniversary but it also includes casino dollars and winery tours. I'll add Palatine Hills to the list to check out. Usually they give you Peller or Inniskillen or one of the other biggies, but we generally also try to stop at one we haven't tried before.

Now all we need is permission to drink again!! lol

@@Icis Just thought I would let you know that we got to the winery that you were talking about - Paletine and we enjoyed the visit. There wasn't a lot there that we would really love to drink - except the icewine! lol It was delicious! I wanted to buy a bottle but my husband said we have to drink some of what we have here first! lol I told the lady there that it was someone in BC that recommended the icewine and she thought that was great! lol  We also went to Diamond which sells Dan Akroyd's wines, which by the way we didn't like! lol I'm only allowed a maximum of 2 drinks, whether its a drink, a beer or a glass of wine, it's two and done and since we were going out for dinner to FINALLY celebrate our anniversary, I only did two tastings. One at Paletine and one at Diamond. I'm hoping we'll do the icewine festival again in January so we'll add Paletine to the list this time and hopefully pick up a bottle of theirs this time. We're having Xmas with my in-laws in New Brunswick so will be taking a bunch of wine with us. They love wine! That might be my excuse to pick up a bottle in January to replace what we used! lol
