Carry On Items?

I know I will have to carry on my wedding dress (as this is not something I will part with, I am too paranoid something will happen!) but what other things have previous brides carried on the plane? We will be bring OOT bags, and lots of decor, is it better to pack all this or split it between family to carry on the plane? Thank you!

We just have way to many favors and decor to get them all in carry on so I'm checking them. It won't ruin my wedding if they don't make it but yes it would suck!

In my carry on I'm bringing my dress, all my families wedding attire, all my wedding day jewelry, under clothes, etc. All our gifts needed for wedding attire (ie all bridesmaids gifts as it's their accessories), any Breakables, swim suits, rings, camera, etc.

I travelled with 7 suitcases and my sister and mom each brought 1 full of decor for me.  I checked in 4 bags, 1 full of OOT bags, 1 full of Decor and 2 with our clothes for the 2 weeks.  For my carry on I had my dresses, husbands suits, shoes and any clothes you wouldn't want to be without that weekend just in case any luggage goes missing.  My carry on also had all our jewelry and expensive electronics.  It was funny trying to get through the airport just us 2 with 7 bags I recommend buying luggage straps so you can strapped them all together so while you are moving throughout the airport they all roll together.

Do most airlines have places to put your dress and husbands suit? I am flying with frontier, and I have looked on their website but do not see anything listed regarding dresses. I can't even imagine how much luggage we are going to have. (Just for 10 days of clothes alone, I normally have one full giant suitcase…and thats just for me!) Let alone bringing a whole wedding along!

I'm definitely keeping my dress up there with a carry on suitcase with the more delicate things/more expensive things. AKA there's no way we're checking our rings. When my parents traveled to NYC their luggage got lost and when they got it back they had stolen a bunch of things, so just in case. I'd like to bring the (fake) flowers on there so they don't get crushed, but maybe I'll find a way of checking them where they'll be safe. I also usually like to bring a change of clothes and a swimsuit in case our luggage gets lost or in case we arrive before our room is ready. Since we're going with a direct flight that doesn't arrive until the afternoon I think I'll save that spot for something for important.

Our families will probably all bring carry ons with wedding stuff haha :)

Each airline is different. I know my carrier has some planes with a closet others you have to use the overhead bun. Worth checking out.

I'm with Air Transat. Not so much worried about my dress, just trying to balance luggage weights and figure out what I am taking on board versus checking.. fun stuff.
