For me it's more meaningful to have it symbolic, because instead of having a judge performing a ceremony in Spanish that I have no control over, I can have a loved one perform a customized ceremony in English.

I emailed Karisma and they told me that we could arrive on Monday and get married on Thursday and still have a legal - we haven't decided what we are doing yet though

Whether it's a legal or symbolic ceremony, it's hard to beat the Magnificence of our amazing Mayan Riviera as a backdrop for a very memorable destination wedding - well chosen ALL !

I am planning to do the same. Legal in Canada and symbolic in Mexico. Seems like less hassle
