Average Dj Price For 4-5 Hrs In Cancun

Hi,

 

I was wondering what the average price is for a DJ in Cancun? Our wedding is at the rooftop at Moon Palace in Cancun/Riviera Maya and I am trying to figure out what a fair price is.  Let me know your thoughts! Thanks

Check into outside vendor fees if you don't use one they have on their approved list.... But I think $1000-1500 is pretty standard. Then add whatever the outside vendor fee would be. You may be able to find one for $500-$1000 but may be more limited in what they offer

I found a reputable outside vendor that is $700 for 4 hours and $100 for each additional hour. Unfortunately my resort charges a $800 vendor fee. The approved vendor wants $700 JUST for basic equipment rental and no actual DJ. A complete DJ package is well over 2k for 4 hours.

Thank you for your input! It seems like you can find one for ~$800, but then you get the resort charging the outside vendor fee... (ours at Moon Palace is $800).

Our resort charges $59 per hour. I'm sure he's just part of the entertainment staff but all reviews, on our thread, seem positive so going for it!

@@LTR have you found a DJ yet? I'm getting married at Moon Palace too and am in the same boat. I initially thought an iPod dock would be a great alternative but I don't want to have the hassle of asking a guest to play the songs for us. I want everyone to have a good time and not have to "work" during the reception!
