For Those Of Us With Short Hair...

Recommended Posts

Have you decided, if you're going to wear a fascinating/flower type hair accessory or just a pair of totally fabulous earrings?

I find it hard to shop for hair accessories online because most models have long hair and I can't get a good idea of the size of the flower. I'd hate to end up looking like Minnie Mouse or worse Minnie Pearl!

Ahhh the hair debate. Stressed me out for weeks. Even just deciding what hair flower to buy because you can't really tell online how it will look, if it's too big for your head, etc. (like you said!). My ears will be covered and I'm wearing pearl studs.I don't like long earrings now, I only wear sleepers so that was just never on my radar.  My hair will be curled with a flower. A flat iron curl she tells me. 'Don't let them touch you with a real curling iron' lol.

I almost splurged for a $110 flower but the one I brought to my trial from Michaels for $4.50 is great! My hair dresser told me not to spend another cent on a flower lol.

I flat iron my hair everyday so this is a big change for me. Also debated to put my bangs up as they curl some and worried about the humidity. We decided it just wasn't the best look for me. I plan to hair spray the crap out of them the first couple days and see if the straightener holds them. If it doesn't I may tack them back!

I may do a trial when I get there. If my hair is longer she said my curls will look different and just want to make sure I am happy and to see if the curls hold. I assume by mid reception my hair will be curl-less and flat??? My hair is my biggest stressor ever since I was young.

Here are some pics. I should add this was a quick trial and we used no product. It was more for me to calm down and see what flower I want etc.

EDIT: for those following my other post.  My hairdresser said I have wavy hair I don't like, and that the kereatin treatments are more for curly hair. She said she wouldn't waste the money, especially if I plan to stick to the curls like we did in my trial.  Also, because of the bob and the back hair super short she wasn't sure she would recommend hair extensions. She said it would be hard to add them to the short hair, then to try to do an updo over them.   I have to trust her opinion? and honestly I don't mind the curls in my pics below.

Thanks! I think I'll do a trial to make sure she can duplicate it (seems easy) and if the curls hold. Our spa is pricey but I think it'll be worth it. My resort said my hair is $140 as all brides are the same. Seems unfair!
