How did you make your ticket jackets? I was going to buy some from a craft store or something, but I am obviously into saving money where I can....lol. I pretty much designed this myself with minimal input from the fiancee. He did help make the final decision on colors of the clip arts though. And he approves of the final design, lol. He's not into the wedding planning other than where I force it on him. If it were up to him we'd go to city hall and forget the destination wedding altogether. Men. 

 

Honestly, I just took a piece of cardstock and folded it into 3.  The inside piece we cut the corner off to look like a ticket jacket, and on the other side end we used those double sided scrapbooking stickers to hold the edge. I know it makes no sense, but in a minute I will post a picture of it and it will make more sense.   I made them before I found this board so they are amateur in comparison (ie I didn't print anything on them) but they were still a hit. 

 

 

 

I had planned to have the luggage tag hang from the ribbon but they didn't sit nice. Again amateur in comparison to some but a good first effort lol   And to be more than honest not sure I had the patience to print something on the ticket jackets!  Seems tricky!

Those look awesome! Where is the cheapest place to buy cardstock? I think we will def do that. And yea I don't need to print anything on them. He doesn't want a bow wrapped around it though so I have no idea what I will do to the outside of it. We may just leave it plain so that way it can fit inside a regular envelope without costing extra in stamps. Where did you get envelopes to mail them in? I'll have to scroll through some of the other topics to see what others have done too.

There are so many nice stamps and hole punch shapes that you could use.  Nothing I had thought of before!

 

Honestly I scored the day we went into Michaels. They had the 12x12 cardstock on for 3 for $1 (I have seen it as good as 5 for $1).  We just cut them to 8.5 x 11 in size. We have scrap pieces now we can use for other things if we choose. So many colors and designs you can choose from.  You could check out any scrap booking store.   Michaels also has packages of paper but none were the color we wanted.  We used the basic white for the invites though - a pack of 100 sheets was $5.   Even with the bow on the front, we only paid basic postage rates.

 

Envelopes were from Staples. We bought regular envelopes but in this linen like design.  So just a bit fancier.  We have about 50 of them, so we will use those again for our pre travel letters/luggage tags (if the luggage tags fit - should find out!).    Like this -- http://www.staples.ca/en/Southworth-25-Cotton-10-Linen-Business-Envelopes-24-lb-4-1-8/product_365485_2-CA_1_20001  -- then we used the mail/envelope feature in Word to print all addresses on them thru our printer.

 

Edit - oh and not sure if it was just the pink cardstock we chose but they were very sensitive to marks. Like our fingers left finger prints on them so we wore gloves haha!

Hey ladies....I bought my paper from Michaels...I used the 8x11.  For the boarding passes and the jackets.  I used the templates that were on this website. 

 

Staples will cut them but they charge for that and I just bought a cutter from Michaels and cut them myself which is very time consuming but worth it in the end.

Thanks for the advice ladies! I def have to go check out Michaels! And figure out what we want to do for the envelopes....I like how some people have stickers on it but I wonder how much that would cost to print everyone's addresses on stickers? I would probably buy stickers for the return address or I wonder if I could design that in Word and print it at staples on the paper with stickers....hmm. So many ideas! I have never been crafty before, I'm not hating it....lol.

The address labels are cheap! Look at your dollar store and just print them at home

Staples may do it too, you'd have to ask -- I just assumed you had to use their paper but I'm sure you could supply your own!

Hmmm I did not know that! Dollar stores for the win! I've heard a lot of brides finding great stuff there! The address labels don't have to be fancy, so I could probably print those at home in black ink. Yay!

So I went to do a test print at kinkos and my cursive font that I downloaded online and used for our names and titles didn't print in the right font. The guy wasn't sure why and even when he printed it behind the counter and pulled it up on his computer it looked different from what it looked like on my laptop. Anyone have problems with this? I wonder if staples will print it correctly, but just wondering if anyone had this issue.
