LisaAnthonyPoppy
So I'm wondering if featured vendors are able to delete bad reviews from this website, best destination wedding?! A vendor (not name dropping) I intend to book for services, for a LARGE amount of money had nothing but great reviews on here.. Then under new post section here, a recent terrible review of them came up. So before I did the anything irrational, I copied the link and emailed the vendor, asking them what was up in a kind but direct nature, We talked it over he assured me that the same thing would not happen to me etc. But I log on this forum hours later and now the review is gone, its been deleted. This I confirmed. So whats up with that? Can vendors pay to use this site for advertising and then have control to delete negative reviews? That's crazy! ... If true. I know some places websites like Angies List under certain agreements let companies delete negative reviews from their profile..
TammyWright
Hi Lisa, I think I know what review you are talking about (an audio company?) I have had vendors ask to remove a review but I tell them it is something they should work out with the client that wrote the review. They should look at what their client has faults with and try to fix the problem, not hide the review. Vendors cannot delete their reviews BUT if the writer of the review asks to delete it, it can be done as a courtesy. in this case, the person that wrote it asked to delete the review (just like you have asked multiple times to delete posts that you have made). ps. I also wanted to comment that some of your comments are very divisive and abrasive. Like you tend to see the bad in every situation before getting the full story. An example is a post you wrote about a wedding vendor. Then negative posts about hotels. You have then asked me to delete your posts but the truth is, the damage has been done to the vendors that you wrote badly about (even if you were mistaken then want the post taken down). I have also had complaints about your posts. Have you thought about maybe reading what you write before you post?
LisaAnthonyPoppy
That's good to hear, and I am glad that it is not possible for vendors to remove negative reviews of themselves on here. This website has allowed me to hire pretty much all of my wedding vendors of over 12k based on reviews alone. The company we wont mention but you are correct on the type of vendor. Luckily he seemed to take my email seriously and addressed it hopefully right away with his client. Maybe the client felt bad and asked to remove it. Thanks for letting me know the scoop
