Yes he is usually pretty on point when he points things out dam it! lol I may take a general consensus about the Thursday night. The way I see it, they will have all of Friday day to relax/sleep/beach/pool etc. as the rehearsal isn't until the evening anyway. OR we could just do it after as you mentioned but he feels like I will be "jipped" if I don't have a bachelorette event before the wedding. I think I would be okay with it. Guess I need to think about it a bit more.

What is he doing? Or he doesn't care much? Are you planning anything at home too? If yes then after isn't a huge deal. Maybe if you just did the disco Thursday night at the resort and don't leave to a venue it would be easier for people if they get tired or whatnot.

I can't see mine being low key, but hey what do I know?

I have to be honest - I am shy!  All the hype of my wedding is exciting, but that moment when everyone is staring at me, snapping photos (I am NOT photogenic and don't like my smile nor do I like to smile - no photog can fix a bad smile!) makes me SUPER nervous, and I wouldn't mind some liquid courage. Ok don't get me wrong, I won't be drunk or even tipsy.... we have a rule but it was more so for fiance as he made all the drunk jokes!!  but I know we will all have a celebratory bubbly while getting ready.

I keep telling fiance we have to remember to eat during the day (well more so me as I will be more busy) or any booze we drink will hit.. hard...

@ - I think the thursday should be good if people have all day friday to pull it together for dinner! He sounds like he has his bachelor plans set and just doesn't want you to miss out huh lol

@@spjwedding - What is it with the girls having these low-key things while the guys spice it up?! loll That definitely seems to be the consensus for sure!

@@calgarybride2015 - Definitely remember to eat! I'm sure I will have to remind myself of the same since without a little food in my stomach I can go from sober to very tipsy to sick very quickly!

I'm also not someone that enjoys a lot of attention/people looking at me/photos taken constantly - which is why I wanted a smaller wedding than even what we are planning. I think it's easy to get self-conscious knowing what's coming but just remember, it's YOUR day...so strut your stuff and smile for that camera ;-)

I'm having so many things going on! I don't know what will be the extent of my involvement but my closest girlfriends and I are planning on going to Vegas next June. We want to go to a music festival there and I have some points on my credit card that I can use to get my plane ticket (there would be no other way I could go really). We just figured we would call it a bachelorette party trip, even though we would have gone anyway hahah. Then we're probably doing something before we leave and then once we get to Mexico before the wedding.

I don't know what the guys are doing but I know my fiance's friends and they're going to go crazy. They've been asking him to let them plan it since the beginning of the year hahaha.

@@Lia33 I think he doesn't really know what he wants either! I know he would love Vegas but feels the way I do. His best man has made some pretty awesome suggestions but I don't think he really knows what to want/expect. Its weird... have both been MOH and Best Man numerous times so its weird for us to be on the opposite end. One of his groomsmen and best friends told us he may be planning to "elope" to Vegas in January and would want us to come as witnesses if we would be interested. I think deep down we are both hoping that will happen and we can use the trip as one big party! Just takes away the planning from my MOH and his BM which will hopefully not result in any hurt feelings. :(

@ If you guys go to vegas to be witnesses, I'm guessing the MOH and BM won't be there? They may still try to plan something for you guys even if you end up partying hard in vegas lol Unless they are all secretly planning on going which would be pretty awesome lol

@@Lia33 the BM might as he is part of that group of friends as well and has been told about it. The MOH(my sister) probably would not as she doesn't know them well and will be having a baby in a few weeks. Vegas isn't really her scene anyway... I think I might tell her that I would like a pampering day with the girls and maybe a nice dinner and see if I can follow through with the coco bongos plan or something called a cuncrawl.

Another couple who are also our close friends was getting married this year as well so we decided to have a double jack and jill Vegas trip. The guys did their thing and the girls did our thing. It was super fun. I can't remember what happened the first night...that's how good it was. Lol
